Flint Hill Goods Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9- Video
Hey everybody. Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods hitch-mounted steel cargo carrier on our 2022 Mazda CX-9. Now, our carrier here today is going to be made of powder coated steel, which just means that the steel is going to be nice and durable. While the powder coating helps it resist a lot of that corrosion and usually steel is a little bit heavier but our basket only comes in at 25 pounds a day, which is just as much weighs as much as some of our aluminum cargo carriers. So if you wanted to store this in your garage off of your vehicle I don't think it would be any trouble compared to some of those aluminum cargo carriers about the same weight of just kind of mounting it up on the wall since it doesn't weigh as much anymore. more

Hey, everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods Hitch Mounted Aluminum Cargo Carrier on our 2022 Mazda CX-9. Now, our basket is going to be made of aluminum, which means it's going to be very lightweight and corrosion resistant, pretty important for driving through the elements. It is only going to weigh 23 pounds, so if you want to store this in your garage off of your vehicle, it is fairly lightweight and being able to just like hang it from a point on your wall perhaps. Now, if you have to keep it on your vehicle though, what kind of dimensions is it going to add to it Well, we're gonna go and take our tape measure, put it on our bumper, and measure the furthest point out, seeing that we're only adding on about 25 1/2 inches to the back of our vehicle. We did look this up earlier, and you probably do have about 16 to 17 inches of space to stack up on your items before you start to interfere with your full hatch clearance. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the etrailer hitch cargo carrier and how it fits on a 2021 Mazda CX5. With the CX5, we have a decent amount of storage in the back and we have the ability to fold the second row of seats down and get some more storage but you have those filled up with people and the back does get filled up pretty quickly. A hitch cargo carrier like this one is a great way to get some items from inside outside, especially if they're muddy or sandy or dirty. What's going on everybody, Adam here with etrailer.com. Today on our 2017 Mazda CX five, we're going to be test fitting the aluminum etrailer cargo carrier. Our carrier is going to be made mostly of aluminum. So it's going to be fairly light about 18 pounds. So if you're one that kind of struggles to either bend down or get this thing all hooked up to your hitch there's going to be a better one for you. It's not near as big as some of the other ones that we carry, but it still has plenty of room to get some coolers and bags and all that kind of stuff out of the car and onto the back to make more room. more

etrailer Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2020 Mazda CX-5- Video
Andy: Hello everyone, Andy here from etrailer.com and today we are going to take a look at the etrailer, aluminum cargo carrier, on our 2020 Mazda CX-5. So, with this basket style carrier, it is a great addition to our CX-5. It is an aluminum construction, which makes it very easy to lift on and off, as well as keeping that quality and nice finish, it's going to last for many years to come. One thing that I really like about it as well, is how it is on the lower side, so if you happen to have those heavier items that you don't really want to lift up, let's say you had a cargo box on top of your car, you have the option of putting them in the basket right here. So, if you happen to have some muddy items like camping gear, maybe something that is a little on the heavier side as well, that you don't want to move in and out like a cooler, this would be a great choice.Also, as you can see, it gives us plenty of room in order to access our hatch here, as we'll do so now. And we have plenty of clearance. more

This cargo carrier is going to work great if you happen to have, let's say, those heavier items. It has lower walls here on the side, so that makes it a lot easier since you don't have to lift them way up over onto the cargo carrier, it does accommodate up to 500 pounds. What I also like is it has the mounting points for you to use fork blocks when it comes to hauling or moving your bikes as well.One of the nice things is the fold up feature about this. What we're going to do is just unlatch the two latches on the front and the rear, and you can move this into. more

Reese 24x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Mazda CX-5- Video
Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com and today you're going to be taking a look at the Reese Explorer 24 by 60 Cargo Carrier on our 2016 Mazda CX5. Now, having a cargo carrier is a really nice thing. It's going to allow us to move a lot of that gear to the outside of our Mazda, so we can make more room for passengers or pets. Now, whether that's for going on a camping trip, we load everything up, we already have the inside full or for going on a long trip across the country. It seems to be real easy to transport, a lot more gear and get more people inside. Now, the 24 by 60 is going to be the interior dimensions of our cargo carrier. more

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Mazda CX-5- Video
Today, on our 2016 Mazda CX5, we're going to be taking a look at the max tow, 30 by 50 wheelchair carrier with 48 inch long ramp. Part number MT70106. This wheel chair and scooter carrier is going to be great whether you have a wheelchair, a scooter, or any other wheeled equipment that you need to carry around. The ramp's going to make it that much easier, allowing us to drive up, or push up or wheeled cargo and get it right here in our carrier. Our ramp here is going to roughly, right about 28 inches wide. Right about 48 inches long. There's a few more measurements I'd like to give you, because we are going to be adding quite a bit of real estate to the back of our car. If we measure from the very edge of the bumper, right here, the back of the cargo carrier's going to come in right about 43 inches. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Mazda CX-5- Video
Today on our 2016 Mazda CX5 we're going to be taking a look at the 20 by 48 Curt Cargo Carrier, part number C18110. Now this cargo carrier is going to be great getting any dirty or wet gear out of your car and making room for passengers or pets. Now we can see that the floor is a nice mesh bottom so we're not going to have to worry about any debris sticking in there. It's going to be super easy to clean. Now the walls, not only are they going to have nice attachment points, so we don't have to worry about finding a tie-down point for your gear, but it's also going to come in right about 3". So we're going to have that extra support from keeping things from falling out. Now overall this cargo carrier's going to add right about 28" to the total length of our vehicle. more

Today on our 2016 Mazda CX9 we're going to be doing a test fit on the CURT cargo carrier. That's part number C18110. We've already got it loaded up in the Mazda just to give you a good idea of what it looks like. We've got plenty of tie down points surrounding the carrier so we can tie down our cargo. It has a mesh floor so it's going to be easy to clean. Dirt and debris is just going to fall right through. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Mazda CX-9 C18152- Video
Today on our 2016 Mazda CX9, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Curt Cargo Carrier, and that's part number C18152. Now I've already got it loaded up on the CX-9 just to give you a good idea of what it looks like, we've got plenty of tie-down points surrounding our carrier here, the raised rails so we can attach a bungee cord or a strap, we've got a mesh floor so dirt and debris is just going to fall right through. It's going to be easy to clean. The whole carrier has a 500 pound weight capacity and its dimensions are 24 by 60 inches long. Now we'll go ahead and give you some measurements. We've added about 31 inches to our CX-9. For the space between, we're looking at about 5 1/2 inches. more

Today on our 2015 Mazda CX5, were going to be test fitting the 24 x 60 Curt Cargo Carrier with a folding design. It offers a 500 pound weight capacity part number C18153. To begin our test fit, were going to slide the shank of the carrier right into the receiver tube of our hitch. We want to keep an eye through the window or the pinhole there that will indicate when we got our holes lined up. Well then take our pin, slide it through and secure it here with a clip. Our carrier offers about 11 inches worth of ground clearance here at the rear. more

Today on our 2015 Mazda CX5, were going to be test fitting the 17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier, design for 1-1/4 or 2 inch hitches. It offers a 500 pound weight capacity, part number C18145. Now to begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. Now well look through our window, or our pin hole there to see when we have it lined up. Well then take our anti-rattle bolt, slide it in, and then thread it on down. Well then take our wrench, tighten down our bolt, and then secure it over here using a clip. Now our carrier is going to offer us about 10-1/2 inches worth of ground clearance. more

Today on our 2015 Mazda CX-5 we're going to be test fitting the 20 x 60 Folding Cart Cargo Carrier for 2-inch hitches with a 500-pound weight capacity. Its part number is C18131. To begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of our carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do it, we'll want to look through the pinhole here and see when we get the hole and the carrier lined up with it. With that lined up, we're now going to take a standard pin, slide it through and secure it on this side with the clip. Now with our cargo carrier in this position, we're going to get some measurements for you to let you know exactly how much clearance you have. It looks like here at the rear of the rack we're going to have about 10-3/4 of an inch worth of ground clearance. As you can see, the rack is really close here to the back of the Mazda. more

To begin our test fit, were going to side the shank of the carrier right into the receiver tube of our hitch. Were taking a look through that pin hole there to see when we have our hole lined up. Well then take our standard pin, slide it through and secure it with a clip. The cargo carrier is going to offer us about 9 of an inch worth of ground clearance. Closest point to our vehicle is about 5 inches away and overall weve added about 28 inches to the total length of our CX5.When opening our rear hatch it breaks over the plane of our carrier at about 23 inches. more
